舞踏家・由良部正美の元で踊り始める。京都造形芸術大学 映像・舞台芸術学科 在学中の2003年よりダンスカンパニー「KIKIKIKIKIKI」主宰。
「TOYOTACHOREOGRAPHAWARD2008」“オーディエンス賞”、「横浜ダンスコレクションR2010」“未来にはばたく横浜賞”を受賞。 2013年～2015年まで他分野のアーティストが出会う場として「Dance Fanfare Kyoto」を企画し舞台芸術における身体の可能性を追求するプロジェクトを多数開催。また個人としては他ジャンルのアーティストとの共同制作を国内外で行いジャンルを越境する活動を展開している。2016年よりマーラーの全交響曲をダンス化するシリーズを開始し、交響曲第７番を使用した「夜の歌」で平成28年文化庁芸術祭・舞踊部門で新人賞受賞。
Studied under Butoh dancer Masami Yurabe. Kitamari started a dance company "KIKIKIKIKIKI" in 2003 while still a student in Department of Film and Theater production in Kyoto University of Art and Design.
She is a recipient of "TOYOTA CHOREOGRAPHY AWARD 2008, Audience Award" and "Yokohama Dance Collection R2010, Yokohama Flying into the Future Award." She has organized a program called "Dance Fanfare Kyoto" from 2013 to 2015, as a place for artists from different fields to meet. Through the program, she presented many projects that pursue the possibility of body in the field of theater arts.
For her solo projects, she works cross disciplinary in collaboration with artists from other fields domestic and international. In 2016, she started a project to translate all of the symphonic numbers by Gustav Mahler into dance. One of the dance numbers based on the Symphony No.7 "Song of the Night" won the Agency for Cultural Affairs National Arts Festival New Artist Award in Dance.
Aokid
ブレイクダンスをルーツに持つ。東京造形大学映画専攻出身。
現在は展示や、パフォーマンス、ダンス上演作品の発表など、アーティストまたダンサーとして活動している。モノ、音、身体を分けたり混ぜたりの行き来することを最近の制作の中では考えている。
"aokid city"は、街を自分の定規で捉え直しパーティーを中心に再構築し提案するようなプロジェクト。
"どうぶつえん"は、代々木公園なんかでゲリラ的に色んなジャンルのアーティストとパフォーマンスをしながら移動し、発表を見ていく、公共やコミュニケーション、既存のあり方へのオルタナティブな提案。
Danceable artist who has a roots in breakdance, currently releasing performance piece and dance programs. Graduated from Tokyo University of Art and Design, Film and Moving Image Major.
In his recent works, Aokid has been thinking about the state of dividing and intermingling of object, sound and body, as well as the going back and forth between these two states.
One of his main projects "aokid city"is an attempt to apprehend the idea of town in his own language, then propose a new definition of town reconstructed around party.
Another project "ZOO" is a guerilla-like performance in parks such as Yoyogi Park, for which Aokid collaborates with artists from various fields. It is a proposal of alternatives to the existing ways in terms of public and communication.
