“Strange Seed Shizuoka” has been held annually in Shizuoka since 2016 as one of the few street theater festivals in Japan. In 2026, we celebrate our 11th edition.
We are pleased to open Professional Registration for those working in the performing arts field.
By registering, you will gain access to the Professional Program, which serves as a platform for networking with participating artists, festival staff, and fellow professionals.
- Eligibility

Producers, directors, arts managers, critics, writers, and other professionals working in festivals, theaters, and the performing arts field.
*Please note: Artists are not eligible.

*There is no subsidy for transportation or accommodation costs for visitors.

A networking gathering centered around the participating artists of Strange Seed Shizuoka 2026.
Details
Venue: Gaest(3F, 2-6-1 Gofukucho, Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture)
Fee: 3,000 yen
Food & Drinks: All-you-can-drink (alcoholic and soft drinks) / Service hours: 19:15–21:15, with 3–4 light dishes provided
Additional Food: You may purchase extra items at “CHERRY BEANS” on the 1st floor (cash-on delivery) and bring them in

(3) Shizuoka Breakfast Gathering*

Fee: 1,500 JPY (breakfast set + freshly brewed new tea)
Enjoy a unique Shizuoka-style breakfast and freshly brewed new tea in the heart of the city.

(5) Shizuoka Local Tour *

A guided tour exploring the city and history of Shizuoka, where the festival takes place.
