A market in Taiwan appears before your eyes!
On to an adventure with Nana-chan, lost in the lively city.
The story begins when Nana, a little bear, gets separated from her grandmother in a lively market. Joining Nana, the audience sets out on a journey through a series of stalls run by distinctive animal shopkeepers, searching for her grandmother together.
Vendor calls, the temple standing within the market, and the melody of garbage trucks echoing through the streets—these scenes unique to Taiwan’s traditional markets are brought to life through non-verbal performance, puppetry, and a variety of objects. The piece creates a magical and playful portrayal of a Taiwanese market, portraying the everyday culture of shopping while conveying the warmth of human connection, cooperation, and care between people.

20% Experimental Theatre
20% Experimental Theatre has been based in Taichung, Taiwan, for over a decade and was awarded the Outstanding Performing Arts Group of Taichung City in 2025. With the mission of “Stepping out of the Theatre and into Life,” we infuse streetscapes, historic sites, and urban spaces with experimental and participatory performances through the development of “portable works” that transcend traditional venues. Through this practice, we shape a theatre brand that coexists with daily life, while actively expanding opportunities for public participation and cultural inclusion through theatre.
