“Good Morning” (STRANGE SEED Shizuoka 2019 ver.)

I am practicing alone early in the morning, aiming for the perfect “Ohayou (Good morning)” that everyone would adore. This is a special training in an empty bicycle parking lot. I am earnestly exercising the muscles around my mouth, to say “o” that brings last night back to the light; “ha” that will be forgotten as it disappear into the morning dew; “yo,” that beats the ringing bell, and that I only give to you; and “u,” that stays long until dusk. O, ha, yo, u, o, ha, yo, u. I hear from afar someone pedaling a bicycle. Now, the practice is over. As I strike the best greeting of my youth, you will have a crush on me.

LOLO

A theater company founded in 2009 by a playwright and a director Naoyuki Miura. Their idiosyncratic boy-meets-girl stories depicted with samplings of various pop cultures from all times and places attracts people of all ages. They are currently seeking ways to expand the scope of theater production. Production of “Itsu Kou (Itsu High School)” series is one such example they started in 2015, particularly made for revitalizing high school plays. The company’s major works include “LOVE02” (2012), “Handsome Daigo” (2015), and “BGM” (2017). “Handsome Daigo” was shortlisted for the 61th Kishida Kunio Drama Award.
