A first-time collaborative work by a theater company mamagoto led by a writer-director Yukio Shiba, and a dancer-choreograher Masako Yasumoto. Based on a new play written by Shiba, Yasumoto directs, composes and choreographs. There is a couple standing on the grass under a downpour of light. This could not realized without STRANGE SEED’s continuous effort.
Collaboration between mamagoto and Masako Yasumoto, who both participated STRANGE SEED 2018. mamagoto who was impressed by the peaceful performance of Masako Yasumoto + Tenniscoats at STRANGE SEED 2018, offered Yasumoto to work together this year.
The two actors, Riki Ishikura and Kaoruko Oyama who have newly joined mamagoto last year will appear on the stage. Ishikura has formerly participated many performances of switch souken, along with various plays such as SPAC “Takaki Kanomono” and re-creation of Chelfitsch “Five Days in March.” Koyama, meanwhile, joined mamagoto after graduating Tama Art University Department of Scenography Design, Drama and Dance where Yukio Shiba of mamagoto teaches. Being active in the field, she has established her own performance group “humunus” last year. She has made appearance in mamagoto’s “Tour,” Gettingontheflyingsaucerists’ “To Keep Sanity.”
